An American Family
In her first major campaign speech to an enthusiastic crowd at the Republican Convention held in St Paul, Minnesota, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin portrayed herself last night as an "average hockey mom;" however, after hearing her speech, many may tend to disagree. In the audience were her husband Todd and their children. Ms. Palin was elected governor of Alaska in 2006 and prior to that was mayor of Wasilla, Alaska.
Shown below, Senator McCain stands with Sarah Palin's family after her speech. From left to right are daughters Bristol, standing next to her boyfriend Levi Johnston, Willow and Piper. Behind Senator McCain is Sarah Palin's husband, Todd, who is holding their 4-month-old son Trig.
"Don't you think we made the right choice for the next vice president of the United States!" Senator McCain said. "And what a beautiful family."
