I had seen the advertisement for an upcoming show entitled "WEDDING DAY" and promised to watch it when it aired, but life got in the way and I missed the first airing. One night while trying to fall asleep, I was flicking between stations and there it was - a NEW television series now showing on TNT cable channel.
The show is like none shown before; it's not about scaring it's audience with brides behaving badly or the shock factor of elaborate, over-the-top extravaganzas. It's about people, normal couples who for whatever reason weren't able to be married on their day of choice because of an unforeseen occurrence or obstacle.
WEDDING DAY is now airing in the northeast on Saturday mornings at 9:00am on TNT. I am sure you won't be disappointed. We all need to watch a show about normalcy and life where the shows producers and hosts (Diann Valentine & Alan Dunn) fulfill the couples wishes by creating their fantasy wedding while enlisting the help of their family and friends. Also, in today's economic times, this show is most certainly "politically correct."
Stay tuned, as this one deserves to be on the air.
Below is the description of the show as shown on its website:
Every couple dreams of having the perfect wedding. For many, it’s the most important and emotional day of their lives. But for some, insurmountable obstacles create barriers to making their dream day a reality. WEDDING DAY is here to prove that a girl doesn’t have to be rich to have a wedding fit for a princess. In this uplifting series, deserving couples from all over the United States will get a helping hand to ensure the most important day of their lives is also the most magical. Each week, celebrity event planner and food expert Alan Dunn (For Better or Worse) and celebrity wedding planner Diann Valentine (author of Weddings Valentine Style) host as family, friends and community come together to create a dream wedding. Along the way, viewers will learn each couple’s compelling story, from their first date to the big day.
