TIPPING WEDDING VENDORS

Tipping is probably the last thing you'll want to hear about after all the other expenses you’ll incur on your special day; however, Society Weddings would like to provide you with a list of those typical tips that your wedding vendors may expect.

Please note that it is correct form to tip or award your vendors prior to the event – you should know your vendors well enough by wedding day, that you should feel quite comfortable in doing so. These are Society Weddings' suggestions -- you may wish to reward your vendors more generously, if their services were above and beyond the call of duty. Your wedding consultant (hopefully Society Weddings) is the person who usually takes care of this for you, as you'll be busy being "a guest" at your wedding --smile :):

How much should we tip our wedding vendors?

Officiants: $50 to $100 (not a tip; considered a donation)

Ceremony site staff: $20 to $30 per person

Organists and ceremony musicians: $30 to $50

Site Manager or Matre’D: 15 to 20 percent of entire bill for the reception

Valets (attendants who park your car): $1 per car

Waiters: $20 to $40 each, depending upon quality of service

Bartenders: 15 percent of liquor bill

Coat check or bathroom attendant: $1 per coat

Limousine drivers: 15 to 20 percent of transportation bill (Review contract to ensure that tip is not included. If it is, on-the-day, the tip may be smaller and given as a token - your wedding consultant/planner will guide you here)

Photographer and Videographer: $25-$150

Delivery workers: $20 each

Tent assemblers and rental agency assemblers: $20 - $30 each

Entertainers: $25 to $35 each

Hair & Makeup or barbers: 15 to 20 percent of beauty salon bill

Cleanup crew: $20 each

Baby-sitters: $30 to $40 each
